Simple Ideas For Play
Springtime Fun!
Make a cubby, throw a large sheet or bedspread over the kitchen or garden table, and add some cushions, books and teddy for a home-made den (how cosy!).
Take a walk around your garden with a little basket. Pick some springtime flowers, place between baking paper in the pages of the big telephone directories. You now have a flower press. Return to look at your pressed flowers in a month or so, to make some beautiful bookmarks and cards together.
Young children love a special bag or wooden trolley to collect the mail with you. Keep the old envelopes, make slits in some old boxes to make pretend post boxes and your young child can post letters around the home or on their little bike in the garden (what an important job!).
