Our newest winter collection is here, discover the Riverside Collection!
To begin the design process, Our Founder Mirabai, and our design team traveled overseas to Paris and London, taking inspiration from the European country-and-riversides. In particular, focusing on landscapes, plants and animals that live in and around picturesque rivers and the beautiful countryside.
Being a proud Australian brand, we also wanted to take inspiration from our beautiful native riverside and countrysides too. To draw inspiration for this, our team visited the Melbourne Zoo, where their highlight was the Otter enclosure. You will notice a lot of Otters in our new collection!
Animals always make up a huge part of our collection, our most featured animals this season are otters, dogs, ducks, rabbits, hedgehogs, badgers, and geese. However, we also drew inspiration from riverside activities such as camping, fishing and road trip adventures. Bringing both of these elements together, in our prints and embroideries to create our beautiful and unique designs.
Plant life and fauna is also featured heavily in this collection; lily pads, fox gloves, reeds, toadstools, willow and birch trees. All are found along the riversides we studied, providing us with a huge variety to dispuse into our designs.
The team developed this collection across many months, applying their inspiration to the colours, textiles, prints and shapes of the styles in the new collection. During this process they applied new techniques in printing and embroideries to make our most beautiful winter collection yet!
The palette is muted with a lot of oatmeal, earthy browns and olive greens. Secondary colours featured are dusty lilacs, emerald, mustard, burnt orange and marine blues.
Our Riverside collection, like our previous winter collections, is all about layering for the winter season! Including luxurious knitwear, corduroy, quilting and shearling styles, designed to be comfortable and functional during the cooler months.
These fabrications are applied to our iconic winter styles being jumpers, overalls, pants, dresses, jackets and more! There are also updates to our classic styles such as our growsuits, bodysuits and accessories. All designed with high quality materials to last for seasons to come. Crafted with 100% organic cotton and luxurious wool blends, all designed to keep your little ones warm and cosy, supporting them through every occasion and activity they have this winter!
Easy outfitting is always front of mind when we’re designing a collection. You’ll find the entire collection is easily paired together. There are even styles created into sets to make it even easier, just add a beanie or booties and you're sorted.
