There is something truly magical about winter. The air feels crisper, colours deepen, and stories seem to come alive just a little more easily. With our Fairytale Forest Collection, we wanted to capture that feeling. A world where imagination blooms among the trees, animals whisper secrets, and every outfit feels like the beginning of a story.

This collection is an invitation. To slow down, to dream, and to let little ones explore a place where make-believe and nature intertwine.

The Story Behind the Fairytale Forest Collection

Step into an enchanting world of wonder with our Fairytale Forest Collection. Inspired by classic fairytales, this magical winter range brings to life talking animals, spellbound moments, and whimsical creatures hidden deep within the woods.

Across charming prints and delicate embroideries, you will discover bunny fairies, dragons, owls, mice and ladybirds. Each character was thoughtfully illustrated to feel gentle and familiar, as though they have stepped straight from the pages of a beloved bedtime story.

The colour palette plays a big part in setting the mood. Rich, deep brights feature throughout the collection. Soft pinks, dusty greens, mulberry tones and warm browns for girls. Classic blues, leafy greens and burnt orange for boys. Earthy neutrals and teals bring a grounded calm to our unisex styles. Together, these hues reflect the magic of nature and the mystery of fairytale worlds.

Inspired by the Enchanted Otways

The heart of the Fairytale Forest Collection began with a visit to the Otways in March 2025. Our founder, Mirabai, spent time immersed in the forest, soaking up its atmosphere and quiet magic.

“I spent the week getting inspiration by walking along the waterfalls and exploring the forest, which really informed the mood and storytelling of the collection.”

The research journey was hands-on and deeply sensory. Observing forest animals hidden within tree trunks. Discovering sculptural elements and tiny dragon houses tucked away in unexpected places. Exploring fairy gardens, dragon gardens, towering tree canopies and the layered textures of moss, bark and leaves.

The forest felt alive with stories waiting to be told. That feeling became the emotional foundation of Fairytale Forest.

From Childhood Memories to Modern Design

Alongside nature, literature played a key role in shaping this collection. The design team revisited classic fairytales and storybooks, drawing inspiration from timeless characters and gentle fantasy worlds.

Mirabai’s own memories were woven throughout the design process.

“I read a lot of fairy tales to my children when they were young. I would often create a fairy house in a tree trunk opposite my home, leaving acorn caps with bread crumbs and water. This collection is all about imagination, dressing up in costume and embracing the magical elements of childhood.”

Those moments became guiding principles. Designing clothing that supports imaginative play. Pieces that feel special yet wearable. Styles that allow children to move freely while creating their own stories.

Bringing the Forest to Life Through Print and Embroidery

Once the story was clear, our designers focused on translating it into wearable art. Illustrations were carefully developed to feel soft, whimsical and detailed without being overwhelming.

Prints feature layered scenes that reveal something new each time you look. A dragon peeking out from behind a tree. A tiny mouse nestled among leaves. Ladybirds scattered like little treasures waiting to be found.

Delicate embroideries add texture and depth, bringing certain characters to life in a way that feels especially beautiful on winter layers.
