Our in-house design team was captivated by the heart of South America, and particularly Mexico, as the starting point for this season’s story. From bustling markets and tropical wildlife to beachside holidays and festive textures, 'Fiesta' is a joyful nod to culture, colour and creativity, all thoughtfully reimagined with the gentle Purebaby touch.
A Celebration of Colour and Culture
This season, our design team immersed themselves in the rich visual world of Mexican folk art and festivities. Bursting with bright colours, handmade crafts and whimsical creatures, the mood for Fiesta was set early with moodboards full of llamas, toucans, tacos and tropical fruits. For our team, it wasn’t just about capturing a location, but evoking the warmth and delight that comes with summer celebrations: dancing, laughter, shared meals and sunshine-filled days.
Our design team softened the vivid hues traditionally seen in Mexican crafts to suit our Purebaby aesthetic. The result? A playful yet refined palette, think pomegranate pink and iguana green for bold moments, alongside the gentle tones of Caribbean blue and papaya for a fresh, breezy feel.
The Journey from Inspiration to Imagination
Every Purebaby collection begins months before the first fabric is cut. For Fiesta, the journey began with trend research trips to London and Paris, gathering inspiration from textiles, galleries and vintage markets. Once the team settled on the Mexican theme, they dove deep, pulling references from books, nature, local crafts and food to build a rich visual story.
From there, hero animals and motifs were carefully selected, including chameleons, ocelots, anteaters and hummingbirds, and brought to life through hand-painted illustrations by our talented graphics team.
These illustrations were transformed into playful prints like “Animal Fiesta”, “Little Llamas” and “Flor”, each one lovingly painted and placed on the softest organic cotton pieces for newborns and toddlers alike.
A Textural Playground
In keeping with the tactile joy of summer festivities, Fiesta embraces texture in a big way. From embroidered florals and appliquéd crochet flowers to textured graphics and scalloped trims, this season is rich with thoughtful details that make each piece feel special.
You’ll find lightweight linen stripes, vintage-inspired florals, and matching sets perfect for balmy afternoons. Interactive tees, soft ginghams and 3D textures are designed to engage curious hands, while keeping comfort front of mind.
For newborns, we introduced new woven pant styles based on strong demand, plus on-trend knits and charming embroidered rompers that capture the spirit of the season in gentle, breathable fabrics.
